Is there a requirement that all franchises must build and operate a model home?
Yes all franchisees must own and operate at least one model home. Many franchisees have multiple models. One of the major benefits of our system is that each franchisee can use other franchisees’ model homes to help their sales process.
Do you help identify the best location for my model home?
Absolutely. Our field team of knowledgeable experts in operations, sales, marketing and design will assist you in identifying the optimum location for your initial, as well as all future model homes.
Does AR Homes® assist in the design and opening of my model home?
Our model design process is vigorous and exacting. AR Homes® has one of the largest and most talented residential and interior design teams in the country with over 50 people on staff in St. Petersburg, FL to serve our franchisees.
Will AR Homes® help with the model home financing process?
Yes we are continually shopping and negotiating model financing programs from banks, mortgage companies and private equity companies to serve the needs of our franchisees.

Yes, AR Homes® has one of the largest and most talented residential and interior design teams in the country with over 50 people on staff in St. Petersburg, FL to serve our franchisees. Our model design process is vigorous and exacting, and our dedicated model teams are there to help you every step of the way.
What is the availability of an AR franchise in my area?
We are currently offering franchise territories in 6 states. We will help to determine if an AR franchise could be successful in your area.
Is training available for both myself and my employees?
We offer a full range of training for each of the Job Descriptions of personnel in your building company. These programs are provided by our Learning and Development team via video programs, virtual webinars, group meetings, as well as, in person visits to your office.
Do I need to have prior experience in home building or home design?
The majority of our franchisees are owners of small to medium sized custom building companies or former executives of regional or national large builders. Some of these franchisees are not involved in the day to day operations of their companies and hire an experienced manager as a Building Company President. If you wish to invest in a franchise and have no homebuilding experience, we will help you select an experienced manager to run the day to day operation of the franchise.
What is the typical time frame for an AR franchisee to achieve profitability?
As part of our discovery process you will have the opportunity to speak to our owners. Each owner’s time frame varies.
Are there ongoing fees beyond the royalty, such as marketing or technology fees?
Any applicable fees are shared in our FDD.
Can you provide financial performance representations or earnings claims?
We share a Financial Performance Representation in our FDD.
What is the duration of the franchise agreement, and what are the renewal terms?
10 years and you must be in good standing to renew your agreement.
Are there any restrictions on selling or transferring the franchise?
AR Franchising must approve buyer candidate.
Are there regular meetings or conferences for franchisees to share best practices?
There are various meetings, conferences, events, training and sessions we offer from time to time, including the Builder Summit our annual convention.
Is there a national or regional advertising fund, and how are contributions determined?
AR Franchising manages the brand fund contribution of the franchisees and places advertising with the intention of growing the brand nationally, reference the FDD for how contributions are determined.
Can franchisees implement local marketing initiatives, and are there guidelines for such efforts?
Yes and AR Franchising will share the guidelines.
What criteria are used to select franchisees?
Outside of required financial requirements, AR Franchising has a robust discovery process in place. We seek those who are a “fit” for our brand financially, professionally, and culturally.
What are the expectations regarding the franchisee's involvement in daily operations?
We encourage each owner to be actively involved in the daily operations of the franchise.
What technology platforms or systems are provided to assist in operations?
AR Connect and AR University (our LMS System).
What kind of ongoing support is provided after the initial training?
Remote sessions, AR University (our LMS system) and back office support (optional paid service).
